Job summary

Dinsmore seeks a Patent Litigation Associate to join our IP Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group in Tampa, FL (also in Cincinnati, Detroit and Denver). Candidates should have 5+ years of patent litigation or significant PTAB experience, with a strong technical background and solid writing and analytical skills.

Florida, Ohio, Colorado or Michigan licensure is required, and USPTO bar registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of patent litigation experience and/or significant PTAB experience.
• Strong academic credentials with excellent research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Licensed to practice in Florida, Ohio, Colorado or Michigan as applicable.
• Technical background; USPTO patent bar registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and argue motions and write briefs.
• Take depositions and manage complex discovery and ESI.
• Handle patent litigation matters for regional and national clients.
• Work in collegial atmosphere with emphasis on training and client contact.

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a Patent Litigation Associate in Tampa, FL; Cincinnati, OH; Detroit, MI; or Denver, CO. This position would be in our IP Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of patent litigation experience and/or significant PTAB experience, including actual experience preparing and arguing motions, writing briefs, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, and preparing cases for trial. A technical background and USPTO patent bar registration is preferred but not required so long has you have the requisite real world experience.

Successful candidates should have a license to practice in Florida, Ohio, Colorado, or Michigan as applicable, strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a desire to work in a collegial atmosphere with an emphasis on training, significant client contact, and a wide range of work handling complex patent litigation matters for regional and national clients of all sizes.

The base salary range for this position is $196,000 – $215,000 and up to $45,000 + in bonus potential based on billable hours. This is not inclusive of our full range, and actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
