Dinsmore & Shohl LLP seeks a Patent Litigation Associate in Detroit, MI (also Tampa, FL; Cincinnati, OH; Denver, CO) for our IP Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. A minimum of five years of patent litigation experience or significant PTAB experience is required, including motions, briefs, depositions, and complex discovery.

Michigan license or eligibility preferred. The base salary ranges from $196,000 to $215,000 with bonus potential up to $45,000+ based on billable hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of patent litigation experience and/or significant PTAB experience.
• Experience preparing and arguing motions, writing briefs, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, and preparing cases for trial.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex patent litigation matters for regional and national clients.
• Collaborate within IP Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group to manage cases from filing through trial.

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a Patent Litigation Associate in Tampa, FL; Cincinnati, OH; Detroit, MI; or Denver, CO. This position would be in our IP Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of patent litigation experience and/or significant PTAB experience, including actual experience preparing and arguing motions, writing briefs, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, and preparing cases for trial. A technical background and USPTO patent bar registration is preferred but not required so long has you have the requisite real world experience.

Successful candidates should have a license to practice in Florida, Ohio, Colorado, or Michigan as applicable, strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a desire to work in a collegial atmosphere with an emphasis on training, significant client contact, and a wide range of work handling complex patent litigation matters for regional and national clients of all sizes.
