Job summary

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP invites experienced patent-litigation attorneys to join its IP Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. The firm seeks candidates with significant patent litigation or PTAB exposure and a track record in motions, briefs, depositions, and complex discovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of patent litigation experience and/or significant PTAB experience.
• Experience preparing and arguing motions, writing briefs and handling complex discovery and ESI.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing and communication skills.

Dinsmore has an immediate opportunity available for a Patent Litigation Associate in Tampa, FL; Cincinnati, OH; Detroit, MI; or Denver, CO. This position would be in our IP Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of patent litigation experience and/or significant PTAB experience, including actual experience preparing and arguing motions, writing briefs, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, and preparing cases for trial. A technical background and USPTO patent bar registration is preferred but not required so long has you have the requisite real world experience.

Successful candidates should have a license to practice in Florida, Ohio, Colorado, or Michigan as applicable, strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a desire to work in a collegial atmosphere with an emphasis on training, significant client contact, and a wide range of work handling complex patent litigation matters for regional and national clients of all sizes.

The base salary range for this position is $196,000 - $215,000 and up to $45,000 + in bonus potential based on billable hours. This is not inclusive of our full range, and actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Benefits offered include:
