Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents while conducting thorough legal research.
• Take and defend depositions, manage discovery processes, and prepare for hearings and trials.
• Manage complex cases, handle competing deadlines, and collaborate closely with clients and colleagues.
• Participate in trial preparation and support attorneys in representing clients before federal district courts, the Federal Circuit, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in commercial or intellectual property litigation.
• Patent litigation experience is preferred.
• Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction is required.
• Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is preferred but not required.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.
• A bachelor"s degree in engineering or a scientific field is a plus.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing in the jurisdiction where the associate will practice.
• Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is preferred.
