Job summary

Randstad USA is sourcing a Patent Attorney/Patent Agent for a hybrid role in Alexandria, VA. The position involves managing an immediate patent prosecution docket across materials, tech, or biotech, and drafting and prosecuting USPTO filings for a sophisticated client base.

The role requires active USPTO registration, a relevant degree in Chemistry/ChemE, Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering, or Biotech, and at least 1 year of hands-on patent experience.

Qualifications

• Active USPTO registration as a Patent Attorney or Patent Agent/Practitioner.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on patent drafting and prosecution experience.
• Degree in Chemistry/ChemE, Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering, or Biotech/Biochem.
• VA Bar license or eligibility to waive in (Attorney roles only).

Responsibilities
