Job summary

Wegman Partners in Washington, DC, is seeking an associate for its Chambers-ranked Chemical Practice Group. The candidate will handle patent prosecution, due diligence, and FTO work, with increasing responsibility.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, can supervise technical specialists and junior attorneys, and must hold a chemistry or organic chemistry degree and be USPTO-registered. An advanced degree is preferred.

Qualifications

I am working with an elite Intellectual Property Boutique looking to add an associate to its Chambers ranked Chemical Practice Group in DC.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of experience in managing and supervising patent prosecution, due diligence, and FTO work
• Experience not only working on prosecution, but supervising and training technical specialists and junior attorneys, and preferably working with large clients with global portfolios
• REQUIRED: background (degree) in chemistry/organic chemistry, advanced degree preferred, and must be licensed to practice before the USPTO

you'd be working a lot with the leader of the group and directly with the clients with the long-term expectation of inheriting the clients in a succession plan.
