BCG Attorney Search in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Patent Agent and Technical Specialist with a BS in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or physics and 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.

You will draft and prosecute applications, conduct prior art searches, and advise inventors and clients on patent strategies, focusing on wireless standards, signal processing, or computer networking.

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Physics.
Demonstrated technical experience with wireless standards, signal processing, or networking.
Proven ability to prepare and prosecute patent applications effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Draft and file patent applications, including claims and specifications.
Prosecute patent applications through examination, including responses to office actions and appeals.
Conduct technical analyses related to wireless standards, signal processing, or computer networking.
Perform prior art searches and provide patentability assessments.
Collaborate with inventors, clients, and legal teams to develop patent strategies.
Review and interpret technical documents and patent filings.
Offer technical and legal advice on patent matters and IP issues.
Prepare and present reports on patent portfolio status and strategies.
Stay updated on patent law developments and technological advances.
