Join Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, an AmLaw 50 firm, as a Life Sciences Patent Agent or Patent Attorney and become a key player in our award-winning Life Science Patent Prosecution and Counseling Team. This opportunity is primarily based in either our Silicon Valley or San Francisco offices, though experienced candidates will be considered in other office locations.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring a robust academic background and a passion for innovation.Required qualifications include:

• 4+ years of experience as a Patent Agent
• A master’s degree, with a preference for a PhD, in Organic Chemistry or a related field or 4+ years of experience doing patent preparation and prosecution on small molecule pharmaceuticals.
• Admission to practice before the USPTO.

This position is primarily based out of our Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices and will consider strong candidates to sit in any other domestic Office. Fully remote candidates may be considered, but any request for a remote arrangement should be included in your cover letter when submitting your application.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $250,000.
