Location
Duties
Prepare and prosecute patent applications in the life sciences space
Conduct due diligence and freedom-to-operate analyses
Collaborate with a team of IP professionals across a variety of therapeutic areas
Focus on technologies including small molecules, ADCs, CAR-T, and other cell therapies
Advise clients through all stages of the drug development and approval lifecycle
Requirements
A master’s degree, with a preference for a PhD, in Organic Chemistry or a related field or 4+ years of experience doing patent preparation and prosecution on small molecule pharmaceuticals.
Strong command of patent law and USPTO procedures
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education
Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry or a related field (PhD preferred)
Certifications
Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
Skills
Deep understanding of life sciences and pharmaceutical technologies
Experience with drafting patent applications and managing global patent portfolios
