Job summary

HG Law LLP is seeking an experienced Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with a strong electrical engineering background to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, particularly in semiconductor technologies.

Applicants should be able to commute regularly to the SJ office. Responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, coordinating large portfolios, performing third party rights

Qualifications

• 3+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
• Substantial patent drafting and prosecution experience for semiconductor technologies.
• Must be a registered patent agent before the USPTO; NY bar for attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering, semiconductors, and AI.
• Coordinate large, global patent portfolios.
• Perform third party rights analyses.
• Mentor and develop junior staff.
