BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Patent Agent to join their Intellectual Property Team in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and a proven ability to draft and prosecute patents.

You will respond to office actions, perform IP due diligence, analyze prior art, and counsel clients while managing portfolios and exploring licensing opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a relevant field (IP or patent work).
• Registered to practice before the USPTO.
• Proven experience in an IP law firm.
• Excellent writing and research skills.
• Strong academic record.
• Experience with software development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patents, and conduct IP due diligence.
• Respond to office actions.
• Prepare, obtain, and analyze patent searches; assess patentability, prior art, non-infringement, and validity.
• Provide client counseling and manage portfolios.
• Engage in licensing activities.
