You will conduct patent searches, assess prior art, support freedom-to-operate analyses, and collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop strategic patent portfolios; a hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Patent Agent experience in a law firm.
• Active registration with the USPTO.
• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
• Technical knowledge involving computer science, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, or closely related fields.
• Experience drafting and prosecuting high-tech patent applications.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications involving electrical engineering, software, AI, and advanced technologies.
• Conduct patent searches and assess patentability, prior art, and intellectual property risks.
• Assist with freedom-to-operate analyses and technical patent opinions.
• Collaborate with attorneys, inventors, and clients to understand complex inventions and develop patent strategies.
• Prepare responses to USPTO Office Actions and support patent portfolio development.
• Apply your engineering expertise to protect valuable innovations across evolving technology sectors.
