Job summary

Yum China Holdings seeks a detail‑oriented Script Developer to create, modify, and package patches for clients. You will monitor patch releases, test compatibility, and support the patch lifecycle across multiple projects within a collaborative implementation team.

The role requires 1+ year of shell scripting and strong Linux/AIX experience, plus excellent problem solving and communication skills. You will contribute to patch management documentation and guidance for clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience writing complex shell scripts.
• Strong Linux and AIX experience.
• Highly skilled in troubleshooting third‑party software problems.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and/or modify scripts for patches for clients.
• Monitor patch releases and security bulletins to identify vulnerabilities and required patches.
• Function as an integral part of the implementation team, assisting as assigned to address client support issues.
• Download, test, and package partner upgrade and installation patches for clients.
• Assist in the management of the patch management lifecycle and ensure that patches are deployed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with the development team to test patches and ensure they are compatible with existing systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to patch management processes, procedures, and policies.
• Maintain historical records by documenting patch development and revisions.
• Work with clients to ensure patching schedules are established and followed.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients on patch management related issues.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
