Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Technical Engineer III to join a technology-focused team in Buffalo. You will help manage and improve enterprise patch management across Linux, Windows, .NET, and Java environments, combining hands-on engineering with automation and process design.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in systems design, management, and architecture.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in automating operational processes with tools like Ansible.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in developing tooling and processes for patch management in large-scale environments.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in identifying and working with patch management tooling such as Ivanti, SCCM.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Linux and Windows Server.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in .NET, Java, and related application frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee patch deployment across Linux, Windows, .NET, and Java environments.
• Develop and implement automation solutions using Ansible and other relevant technologies to improve patch management efficiency.
• Design and refine tools, processes, and operational workflows that support continuous improvement.
• Create, read, and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and procedures.
• Partner independently with technical teams, management, vendors, and business stakeholders to define requirements, resolve issues, and deliver technical solutions.
