Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Patch Crew Foreman to lead a crew of up to 8 on manhole rising, water valve, and asphalt patching projects. You will ensure safe, efficient operations and advise the Superintendent on operational decisions affecting crew and equipment.

You will supervise daily tasks, manage timecards and inventory, and drive safety, quality, and productivity metrics while coordinating with nearby teams to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manages patch crew to optimize efficiency of paving job.
• Oversees rising of manholes, water valves, and asphalt patching to meet specs.
• Completes daily paperwork including timecards, inventory, and charge forms.
• Leads safety initiatives, traffic control, and toolbox talks.
• Monitors KPIs such as production, downtime, and overtime.

About The Role

This position is responsible for managing and working with a team of up to 8 patchcrew workers within their day to day responsibilities for the rising of manholes/water valves and asphalt patching. The position is responsible for the efficient, safe and profitable operation of their associated project and work team; and for advising as well as making recommendations to the Superintendent concerning the best interests of the operation when the activities of his/ her work team and equipment are involved.

What You'll Accomplish

• Manages patch crew to optimize efficiency of paving job.
• Responsible for the rising of manholes and water valves and asphalt patching Ensures installation meets specifications including proper depth, yield control, and density.
• Perform daily paperwork functions including timecard approvals, parts inventory, and daily charge forms.
• Take leadership role in safety functions including personal safety, traffic control management, and toolbox safety meeting requirements.
• Monitor measure and report on operational key performance indicators including daily production, downtime, overtime, production rate and other operating metrics.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of five years of production, maintenance and/or location supervision in construction or related industry.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated good judgment and discretion.
• Strong organizational skills with focus on accuracy.
• Able to follow established processes and/or document new processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines all the while being detailoriented.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to function as part of a team.
• Works cooperatively with other employees, customers, clients, and the public.
• Able to handle multiple responsibilities at one time and must be able to deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and demonstrated problem-solving skills as well as excellent time management and project management skills.

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
