Job summary

U.S. Pavement Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Infrared Paving Foreman to lead a crew responsible for infrared asphalt repair operations.

The role oversees daily jobsite activities, ensures quality work and safety practices, and coordinates materials, equipment, and labor to complete high-performance infrared patching and pavement restoration projects. The ideal candidate has strong asphalt knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to manage production while maintaining safety

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of asphalt paving or infrared repair experience.
  • 1+ years of leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of infrared patching processes, compaction, and finishing.
  • Ability to read and understand job specs, work orders, and site layouts.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the daily operations of the infrared paving crew
  • Operate or oversee the use of infrared asphalt heaters, rollers, and related equipment
  • Ensure proper prep, heating, blending, and compaction for seamless asphalt repairs
  • Monitor repair quality and ensure finished patches meet job specifications
  • Plan daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and manage crew productivity
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and truck logistics to and from job sites
  • Maintain communication with project managers, clients, inspectors, and other trades as needed
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce PPE use and company safety policies
  • Keep accurate records of labor, production quantities, materials used, and jobsite conditions
  • Train and mentor crew members in proper infrared repair techniques and best practices
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field and make adjustments as necessary to maintain workflow
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
