Job summary

Alan B. Miller Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse for full-time days. The PAT RN coordinates preoperative assessments, reviews diagnostics, and educates patients to ensure optimal medical readiness for surgery.

Requires Florida RN license, ADN, and at least 2 years in clinical nursing; BSN preferred. Travel none; benefits include comprehensive medical plans and 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Experience in Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-operative nursing, PACU, Surgical Services, CCU or ED is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete the preoperative assessment process for scheduled surgeries.
• Identify potential risks and ensure all tests and clearances are completed in advance to reduce delays.
