Centurion Surgery Center is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (BSN) to join our team as a Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Nurse. You will conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, coordinate required testing and clearances, educate patients, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to ensure readiness for surgery.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, current RN license, BLS, strong assessment and communication skills, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• BSN required.
• BLS certification required.
• Two+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency using electronic medical records (EMR).
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive preoperative nursing assessments via telephone and in person.
• Review patient histories, medications, allergies, and surgical histories.
• Evaluate preop labs, EKGs, imaging, and other testing for readiness.
• Coordinate additional clearances or consults as needed.
• Communicate abnormal findings to surgeons and anesthesia.
• Educate patients on preop instructions, fasting, arrival times, and expectations.
• Coordinate documentation and clearances with physicians and scheduling staff.
• Maintain EMR documentation accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient safety and efficiency.
