SusieCakes Bakery in San Jose, CA seeks an experienced culinary team lead to motivate, train, and develop decorators for cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. You will oversee daily decorating tasks and ensure high quality finishes.

This role emphasizes safety, consistency, and a warm, collaborative kitchen culture; the ideal candidate has leadership experience, a culinary background, and flexibility to work across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary, Baking or Pastry Arts preferred.
• 2 years leadership experience in a team environment.
• Ability to work in multiple regional locations and flexible schedule.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Leads the teams by motivating, training, and developing the culinary team members in decorations skills; decoration, finishing and inscribing on a variety of products; including but not limited to cakes, cupcakes, and frosted sugar cookies
• Assign daily decorations needs to team members and ensure their completion
• Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards
