Job summary

SusieCakes in Manhattan Beach is seeking a Pastry Team Lead for Custom Cakes to oversee daily production of specialty cakes, decorating, and guest orders.

The role requires at least two years of pastry experience, ability to manage a kitchen team, and commitment to SusieCakes quality and food safety standards. This full-time on-site position includes growth opportunities and a dynamic bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of pastry/culinary experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate bakery equipment.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed.
• Strong English communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead team to mix, bake, build, decorate, and inscribe products.
• Assign daily production and ensure completion.
• Maintain food safety standards and inventory levels.
• Assist in guest orders and train culinary team members.
• Operate and maintain bakery equipment and tools.
• Ensure order accuracy and product quality.
