Job summary

1 Hotel Hanalei Bay is seeking a detail-obsessed Pastry Sous Chef with leadership skills to motivate a team, manage the daily operations of a high-volume scratch kitchen, and contribute to creative pastry development.

You’ll assist in all pastry prep, supervise line staff, monitor inventory, and respond quickly to on-the-spot kitchen needs. We offer competitive pay and an inclusive culture in Hawaii.

Qualifications

About you

• Passionate about culinary arts and a minimum of 2 years of similar work experience.
• A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
• Excels at communication, both verbal and written.
• Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
