Job summary
PastryStar is seeking a hands-on Food Processing Engineer / Continuous Improvement Specialist to support our pastry manufacturing operations and a future plant buildout. You will lead manufacturing improvement initiatives, document processes, assist with equipment selection, and strengthen GMP, food safety, and product consistency across kettle and powder mixer operations.
Cross‑functional collaboration is essential to drive safety, uptime, and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.
Qualifications
- Degree in industrial or food processing engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years in food manufacturing, process engineering, or CI roles.
- Experience in GMP, food safety, and documentation of SOPs.
- Experience with equipment selection and plant start-up is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Document processes, SOPs, and training materials for pastry production.
- Assist with equipment selection, installation, testing, and validation.
- Provide training on updated processes, safety and GMP expectations.
- Collaborate with QA, maintenance, R&D, and operations to optimize flow.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor performance and KPIs.
