Hallbrook Country Club in Leawood, Kansas, seeks a pastry prep assistant to support the pastry chef in all aspects of baking and pastry production.

You will prepare pastries and baked goods for banquet and a la carte functions, assist with menu development when needed, keep the pastry station clean and organized, and help with other kitchen tasks as required; must have culinary training or 2 years of kitchen experience, plus food-safety certification and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Culinary Associates Degree or 2 years relevant kitchen experience.
• Certified in food safety (Serve Safe / Food Handler).
• Reliable and predictable attendance required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare pastries, baked goods for banquet and a la carte functions.
• Assist pastry chef with menu development when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness; pastry area, refrigerator and walk-in.
• Set up, maintain and break down pastry prep station.
• Identify products needed and requisition them.
• Notify executive/pastry chef of shortages.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety standards.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Assist with other duties as instructed by Executive Pastry Chef.
