Job summary

Mama Ricotta’s is seeking a Pastry Prep Assistant with 6 months to 2 years pastry/baking experience to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role producing high‑quality desserts, breads, and catering desserts for in-house service and events.

You will scale, mix, bake from established recipes, prepare focaccia and bread, portion and package desserts for catering, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 2 years pastry/baking experience.
• Available to work mornings and weekends.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong recipe-following with clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Scale, mix, and bake according to recipes to create desserts (cheesecakes, cakes, mousses, cookies).
• Prepare house-made focaccia and other breads.
• Portion desserts for dine-in and catering.
• Package desserts for catering orders for presentation.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pastry Prep Assistant with at least 1 year of experience in pastry/baking to join our team at Mama Ricotta’s. This is a hands‑on position where you will play a key role in producing high-quality pastry goods for our restaurant, including desserts, bread, and catering orders.

Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Scale, mix, and bake according to established recipes to create delicious desserts, including cheesecakes, layer cakes, mousses, and cookies.
• Prepare house‑made focaccia and other bread varieties.
• Portion finished desserts to be served in‑house and for catering orders.
• Carefully package desserts for catering orders to ensure they are presentation ready.

• Strong ability to follow recipes accurately while keeping a clean and organized workspace.
• Comfortable working in a kitchen environment, able to maintain focus and efficiency during busy hours.
