Job summary

Rosetta Bakery is hiring a Full Time Pastry Assistant to join our team in New York. You will assist in preparing pastries, desserts, doughs, fillings, and glazes, following recipes from the Pastry Chef.

Role requires basic baking knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. You will maintain cleanliness, support with plating and packaging, and adhere to food safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Prior bakery or pastry kitchen experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organization required.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Food safety knowledge and willingness to obtain required certificates.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing pastries, desserts, doughs, fillings, and glazes.
• Follow standardized recipes and directions from Pastry Chef.
• Measure, mix, and prep ingredients accurately.
• Maintain clean storage and labeling of ingredients and finished products.
• Ensure sanitation of workstations and tools.

Rosetta currently has an opening for Full Time Pastry Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of pastries, desserts, doughs, fillings, and glazes
• Follow standardized recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef
• Measure, mix, and prep ingredients accurately
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of ingredients and finished products
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, equipment, and tools
• Help with decorating and finishing pastries to brand standards
• Assist with the plating and packaging of products for display or sale
• Monitor product quality and report any inconsistencies or issuesAdhere to food safety regulations and company policies
• Support with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed
• Participate in daily prep, cleaning, and closing duties

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or culinary school (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of baking and pastry techniques
• Ability to follow directions, work neatly, and maintain a clean work area
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment
• Food Handler’s Certificate (or ability to obtain
