Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Honolulu seeks a Pastry Cook 3 to join our resort kitchen team. You will prepare, bake and present Danish, croissants, breads, muffins, fillings, and pastries for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria, and Banquets, while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

You will support other pastry staff, follow recipes, and ensure on-time service across all outlets, including events. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and flexibility in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Know menus and prep requirements per hotel standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of storage and kitchen areas.
• Prepare ingredients and station prep before opening for service.
• Prepare and display buffet items per hotel standards.
• Proficient in baking, poaching, frying, par-cooking techniques.
• Prepare doughs, Danish, croissants, buns, fillings, and related products.
• Assist Pastry Cook 4 and other kitchen staff as needed.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and sanitation of ingredients.
• Prepare foods following standard recipes; assist in banquet prep as required.
• Breakdown buffets and kitchen line; store food and equipment correctly.
