Job summary

Loews Philadelphia Hotel is seeking a Pastry Cook II to join our prestigious pastry team. You will assist the Pastry Chef in producing high-quality desserts and plated sweets for outlets including fine dining, banquets, and in-room dining in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

The role offers opportunities to expand skills, gain leadership experience, and contribute creatively while maintaining elevated quality, taste, and visual appeal.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional pastry experience in hotel, resort, or upscale restaurant.
  • Proficiency in core pastry skills including doughs, fillings, custards, and garnishes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and plated desserts.
  • Assist with mise en place and production prep for hotel dining outlets.
  • Follow established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, HACCP-compliant workstation and proper storage of ingredients.
