Job summary

Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a Pastry Cook to properly bake and prepare cakes, cookies, pies, custards, and plated desserts to Sundance standards. You will work full-time year-round with variable shifts and weekend/holiday availability, supporting a sustainable kitchen environment under the Kitchen department.

Role requires at least 6 months of baking experience or current culinary student status, and a valid food handler permit within 30 days. FLSA: Non-Exempt/Hourly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months professional baking experience, or current culinary student.
• Knowledge of basic dessert techniques, bread baking and dessert production.
• Commitment to learning and improving pastry skills.

Responsibilities

• Measures and mixes ingredients using mixers to form dough, batter, pies, and pastries.
• Prepares and cooks ingredients for pie fillings and custards.
• Decorates cakes and pastries with icing and decoration.
• Reads and follows recipes and prep sheets to ensure quality.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary work area and follows health codes.
• Follows proper labeling, rotation and storage of food products.
