Responsibilities
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping fruit, preparing sauces)
  • Understand pastries and piping skills
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff
  • Follow instructions from the executive or sous chef
  • Clean station and manage leftover food appropriately
  • Stock inventory adequately
  • Ensure food is prepared simultaneously, maintaining high quality and timeliness
  • Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and customers
Skills
  • Prepare various desserts and food items using kitchen equipment such as broilers, grills, fryers, and sautà burners
  • Take responsibility for the quality of products served
  • Adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • Maintain sufficient stock levels at line stations for smooth service
  • Portion food products according to standards and recipes
  • Keep workstation areas clean and sanitary
  • Prepare items for cooking methods like broiling, grilling, frying, and sautÃing
  • Follow proper plate presentation standards
  • Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
