Huntress is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team in San Diego. This role emphasizes pastries, breads, and meticulous presentation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

You will contribute to high-quality desserts and bakery items, ensuring consistency and creative flair across the menu. We require 2+ years of pastry/culinary experience, knowledge of chocolate and viennoiserie, and a San Diego County Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant, bakery, or hotel culinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of chocolate, bread baking, and viennoiserie preferred.
• San Diego County Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries, breads, and other menu items according to recipes and chef direction.
• Maintain quality, freshness, proper temperatures, and production levels.
• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
• Minimize food waste and follow proper preparation and storage procedures.
• Communicate effectively with chefs and work collaboratively with the culinary team.
• Assist with daily kitchen setup, production, cleaning, and sanitation.

PASTRY COOK

Hourly | Part-Time | $18.50–$22.00/hr
