Job summary

The José Andrés Group in Las Vegas is seeking a Pastry Cook to leverage culinary skills, prep and run a station during busy service, and collaborate with an energetic kitchen team to reproduce menu items that exceed guest expectations.

This role emphasizes continuous learning, understanding ingredients for authentic menu items, and offers competitive pay with industry-leading benefits and career advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability Knowledge of workstation set up and maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to food safety guidelines, and collaborate with the kitchen staff to meet the restaurant's menu needs.
• Thorough knowledge of menu items and recipes.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
• This position will spend 100% of the time standing or walking.
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
• May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating supervisors and other employees.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
