Job summary

The José Andrés Group in Las Vegas is seeking a Baker to prep and run a bakery station during busy service. You will work with an energetic kitchen team to prepare and reproduce menu items with a focus on quality and consistency.

Applicants should have bakery experience, knowledge of recipes and baking techniques, and the ability to follow recipes while maintaining a clean, safety-focused workspace. The role involves standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.

• Previous experience as a baker or in a bakery environment is preferred.
• Tasks include mixing and kneading dough, following recipes, ensuring quality control, and managing inventory for baking supplies.
• Knowledge of workstation set up and maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to food safety guidelines, and collaborate with the kitchen staff to meet the restaurant's menu needs.
• Thorough knowledge of menu items and service procedures.
• Ability to take direction and work in a team environment and to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Must have problem solving abilities, be self‑motivated, and organized.
• This position will spend 100% of the time standing or walking.
• Must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
• Must be able to exert well‑paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
• May be required to lift food items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with supervisors and other employees.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
