Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Pastry Cook to join our seafood-forward, waterfront restaurant and help deliver high-quality desserts and baked goods.

You will work with the culinary team in a fast-paced kitchen, follow food safety guidelines, and contribute to guest experiences from day one.

Qualifications

• Pastry cook experience required, minimum 1 year.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
• Positive attitude, team player, collaborative mindset.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:

The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods while maintaining consistency, cleanliness, and food safety standards. This role works collaboratively with the culinary team to deliver exceptional products that enhance the overall guest experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the kitchen team to prepare and plate desserts according to established recipes and standards
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective service
• Assist with inventory and ordering as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a pastry cook is required. 1 year minimum
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Positive attitude, team player, and able to work collaboratively with others
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Pay:

$24 / hour
