Job summary

The Adolphus in Dallas, on behalf of Makeready Llc, seeks a Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team. You will produce breads, cakes and pastries, follow recipes precisely, and help ensure consistent presentation across desserts in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have prior Pastry Cook experience, a creative palate, and a passion for pastry. You will set up workstations, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with chefs to deliver high-quality desserts for guests and events.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Pastry Cook highly preferred.
• Ability to follow set recipes and maintain quality.
• Work well in a team within a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and handling baking equipment.
• Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections.
• Decorating pastries to ensure attractive presentation.
• Ordering supplies within budget.
• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstation.
• Communicating with the chef team.

Responsible for the production and presentation of breads, cakes, and pastries, and other delectable, this individual enjoys being a part of a team dynamic and is adept at following directions and communicating with the chef team.

Requested Tasks

• Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment
• Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe
• Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation
• Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment when needed and within budget
• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing a workstation
• Prior experience as a Pastry Cook highly preferred
• Innovative and creative personality
• A passion for all things pastry and confectionary
