Job description

The Brookmere Hotel and Regent Restaurant & Bar, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, is a major development project in Saratoga Springs, New York, situated just a mile from the Saratoga Racetrack and abutting Saratoga National Golf Course. The 10-acre site, formerly known as Longfellows Hotel, Restaurant, and Conference Center, will be redeveloped into an upscale hotel, restaurant, spa, banquet facility, and private access to Lake Lonely. Bonacio Construction leads the development, in partnership with Hay Creek Hotels.

Responsibilities:

1. Consulting with the executive chef and other chefs to plan menus.
2. Executing pastry orders for catered events and accommodating special requests.
3. Demonstrating skill in baking pastries, desserts, cakes, cookies, sweets, and pies.
4. Creating confectionery decorations and pastry fillings, and staying updated on new pastry techniques.
5. Applying classic pastry baking techniques for traditional pastries.
6. Innovating and adding new, creative pastry items to the menu.
7. Monitoring and maintaining equipment and specialized pastry tools.
