Hill Country Golf & Guitar in Austin, Texas is seeking a passionate individual to direct the pastry and baking functions of the kitchen. The role involves menu development, inventory management, and recipe creation, supporting a restaurant that serves 8,000 patrons a month.

The ideal candidate will have creativity in crafting desserts and either be currently enrolled in culinary school or have at least 2 years of experience. Flexible hours and a dynamic kitchen environment are offered.

• Directs and oversees the pastry and baking functions of the kitchen(s), including menu development, inventory and purchasing of supplies, and cost control.
• May be responsible for the creation of dessert menus to maximize profits and minimize loss.
• Tests and develops recipes.
• Requires an understanding of federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations.
• Proactive in reducing waste
• Ability to help produce desserts for a restaurant serving 8,000 patrons a month
• 24 to 32 hours a week
• Flexible hours
