Job summary

Parkhurst Dining is seeking a Pastry Chef/Bakery Supervisor to lead all bakery production across campus foodservice operations, from dining halls to retail outlets and catering. You will ensure quality, safety, and timeliness of desserts, breads, cookies, and cakes, while supervising night cleaners and developing new dessert offerings.

Associates degree in Baking and Pastry Arts or equivalent experience is preferred; experience managing large-scale operation and inventory, plus basic computer

• Oversee all bakery production for campus foodservice operations. Operations include All-you-care-to-eat Dining Hall, Retail Outlets, Large Volume Catering, and more.
• Ensure quality, safety, and timeliness of all bakery items.
• Items to be produced include cookies, cakes, pies, plated desserts, specialty desserts, pizza dough, breads, etc.
• Supervise Night Cleaners to ensure that their work is being completed.
• Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of our guests.
