Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in a high-volume pastry or bakery environment preferred.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient function, and equipment operation.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must possess an active food handlers certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pastry Sous Chef in the daily preparation and production of all dessert items, baked goods, and confectioneries for multiple companies within the organization.
• Accurately follow recipes, scaling, measuring, and mixing ingredients for production runs.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the pastry section, including proper storage and rotation of ingredients.
• Monitor inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to the Pastry Sous Chef.
• Ensure consistency and quality in all finished products.
• Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Assist in training and mentoring new or seasonal staff as needed.
