First Baptist Church of Charlestown, IN is seeking a part-time Pastor of Administration and Development to bridge vision and operations, coordinating ministries, groups, serving, and life of the church.
Under the Lead Pastor, the role guides internal systems, planning rhythms, calendars, and communications, and creates training pathways for volunteers and leaders.
A 20-hour weekly commitment, attendance at staff meetings, and a culture of leadership development are expected.
Job Description – This is a part-time, salaried position that reports directly to the Lead pastor. The Pastor of Administration and Development serves as a bridge between ministry vision and operational execution; they coordinate the ministry operations and help people to take next steps in groups, serving, and the life of the church. This role combines administrative expertise, pastoral care, and strategic leadership to strengthen the church’s mission and community impact.
Primary Function – This person develops and maintains internal systems, planning rhythms, calendars, and communication to ensure clarity and consistency within the church. This role, under the leadership of the Lead Pastor, engages ministry leaders and volunteers, providing guidance, pathways for training, and coaching volunteers and leaders. Setting clear expectations and competencies for each role and a plan for developing each person, while helping us create a culture of leadership development.
