Job description

Faith Family Fellowship is seeking a full-time senior pastor to lead our congregation. We desire a preaching and teaching pastor who is strong in the pulpit, espouses a high view of God (Isaiah 6; Proverbs 9:10), believes in the absolute authority of Scripture (Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16), dispenses sound doctrine (1 Timothy 4:6), and exhibits personal holiness (2 Corinthians 7:1; 1 Timothy 3).

We seek a pastor who is outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, and capable of building spiritual relationships, while working to elevate God, equip believers, and evangelize the lost.

Faith Family Fellowship is currently celebrating 132 years of service, and we are looking for a pastor to continue this legacy and lead our growth into the future.

Responsibilities:

1. Preaching and teaching the Word of God with clarity and relevance.
2. Providing pastoral care and counseling to congregation members.
3. Leading or facilitating Bible studies, prayer meetings, and other activities.
4. Collaborating with church leaders to guide church programs.
5. Visiting those unable to attend church.
6. Engaging in community outreach and evangelism to fulfill the Great Commission.

Biblical Qualifications:

The Senior Pastor must be a man of established character, qualified to preach and teach the Word of God, as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9, and willing to serve in accordance with the church's constitution and bylaws.

Essential Qualifications:

• Pastoral Care & Discipleship
• Willingness to Grow
• Minimum of 5 years ministry experience

Highly Preferential Qualifications:

• Experience with pastoral duties such as premarital counseling, weddings, funerals, grief counseling
• Formal ministry education (e.g., Seminary), Master’s degree a plus
• Senior/Lead Pastor experience
• Biblical Counseling Certification (not necessary but a plus)

Additional Responsibilities:

The pastor oversees the overall health and direction of the church, working with elders to accomplish evangelism, discipleship, member assimilation, worship, and community needs. Specific duties include weekly service leadership, pastoral care, special ministry participation, content provision for Sunday School and Bible studies, and facility management in cooperation with deacons.

Compensation:

This is a paid position, with provisions for continuing education, professional expenses, retirement after one year, medical insurance, a fully updated parsonage, and a church vehicle.

Non-negotiable Qualifications:

• Exhibits biblical qualifications of elders (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9)
• Strong in studying, preaching, and teaching Scripture (1 Timothy 5:17; 2 Timothy 2:15)
• Able to defend sound doctrine with humility and promote unity (2 Timothy 2:24-25; Ephesians 4:1-3)
• Displays integrity and authenticity (Titus 2:7-8)
• Sets a good example in speech, conduct, love, faith, purity (1 Timothy 4:12)
• Able to affirm the Articles of Faith of FFF in good conscience

Preferred Experience & Education:

• At least five years of ministry experience
• College degree or equivalent in biblical studies, theology, ministry, or biblical counseling; Master of Divinity a plus
• Biblical counseling certification is welcomed
