Job summary

Compass Oncology in Tigard, OR is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This full-time role schedules patient appointments—office visits, labs, chemotherapy—and coordinates outside referrals as directed by the Provider, serving as a liaison across departments.

You will handle calls, verify demographics and insurance, and maintain patient information with a professional, compassionate demeanor in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• 2+ years office experience, ideally in medical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems including Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments (office, lab, chemotherapy) and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain accurate patient demographics and insurance information.
• Answer calls and triage to appropriate staff; use patient portal for messages.
• Support confidentiality and compliance with clinic policies.
• Participate in team huddles and training; assist with onboarding of staff.
