Job summary

Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. is seeking a part-time kitchen team member in Decorah, IA. You will prepare dishes with accuracy, maintain kitchen sanitation, and assist with prep for regular and event menus.

The role requires weekend and holiday availability, the ability to work nights, and a cooperative, positive attitude within a fast-paced setting. SERV Safe certification is required, and on-the-job huddles provide product knowledge updates.

Qualifications

• Must complete SERV Safe food handler course and exam.
• Attend training sessions and huddles to gain product knowledge and keep up to date on hospitality changes.

Essential Functions:

Preparing dishes consistently and accurately adhering to recipe

Daily cleaning and sanitation of kitchen - both food and non-food surfaces

Prep work for all items on menu and event menu items

Set up workstations

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Part-Time. Days and hours of work are varied between Monday through Sunday between the hours of 8:00a.m and 12 a.m. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and most holidays.

Requirements

Required for employment:

Upon hire, employees will be assigned food safety training that must be completed as part of the onboarding process.

Physical Demands: This is largely active role and requires being on your feet for most of the working shift. Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold are present in a kitchen environment. Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks.
