Job summary

The Dispatcher will train in Corydon before relocation to New Albany, maintain confidentiality, and use dispatch software and Excel for documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and professional communication.
• Strong verbal and written communication with phone etiquette.
• Ability to coordinate information and maintain relationships with passengers and partners.
• Proficiency with word-processing, databases, spreadsheets, email, and dispatch software.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with drivers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly, gather trip and passenger information, and communicate details to the appropriate person.
• Dispatch information to drivers using two-way radio to support timely pickup and drop-off.
• Provide drivers with route, schedule, and direction information as needed.
• Maintain transportation records, including Excel spreadsheets and logs.
• Create, update, and maintain information within the Dispatch Software package.
• Initiate and track prior authorization forms with the Fiscal Department.
• Communicate professionally with passengers, families, staff, and community partners.
• Follow all policies and required transportation practices.
