Job summary

Menzies Aviation LATAM is seeking a Passenger Service Supervisor to oversee fast-paced airport operations, delivering quality passenger service, ticketing, check-in processing and luggage handling. You will ensure compliance with uniform guidelines and conduct policies while supporting traveling passengers.

Responsibilities include assisting passengers, validating documents, coordinating gate and seating, and maintaining safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Proven customer-service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Ability to operate computer-based systems used for passenger services.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and other issues at the airport.
• Host self-service kiosks and verify documents prior to boarding.
• Interpret identification labels and baggage routing tags.
• Keep work areas organized (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).
• Make announcements, check baggage, and assign seats as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Role Purpose

The Passenger Service Supervisor will have primary oversight of the fast-paced airport passenger service environment providing quality passenger service, ticketing, check-in processing, luggage claim handling and service assistance to all traveling passengers. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and any other passenger issues in the airport, be enthusiastic and keep a positive attitude while offering assistance.
• Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers’ documents prior to boarding aircraft,
• Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).
• Other responsibilities in the gate area include making announcements, checking baggage, and assigning seats.
• Perform other duties as requested

What We Are Looking For

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• HS Diploma or GED
• One (1) year of wheelchair assistance, customer service, hospitality, or airport operations experience
• Minimum one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Computer skills are required as you will be using computer-based systems to perform some of your primary job duties.
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English, excellent communication skills
• Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure.
• Able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.
