Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Detroit, MI is seeking a Passenger Service Supervisor to oversee the fast-paced airport passenger service environment, including ticketing, check-in processing, luggage claim handling, and passenger assistance at the DTW terminal. You will ensure quality service, follow uniform guidelines, and maintain calm under pressure while guiding frontline teams in check-in and gate areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Computer skills required; using computer-based systems to perform some of your primary duties.
• Able to read, write and speak English with excellent communication skills.
• Must have a positive, can-do, upbeat personality, able to remain calm under pressure.
• Able to stand for long periods at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and any other issues in the airport, be enthusiastic and keep a positive attitude while offering assistance.
• Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers’ documents prior to boarding aircraft.
• Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).

Role Purpose

The Passenger Service Supervisor will have primary oversight of the fast-paced airport passenger service environment providing quality passenger service, ticketing, check‑in processing, luggage claim handling and service assistance to all traveling passengers. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct
