Job summary

The Allen County Community Corrections department seeks a Pass Investigator to approve and verify pass requests, perform supervised drug screening, and keep precise records. You will communicate decisions, enforce guidelines, and ensure compliance for participants under supervision.

Responsibilities include documenting in the SRS system, coordinating pass schedules, and supporting participants with job-search activities while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Affairs, or related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and related software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Approve and verify pass requests and verifications following guidelines.
• Conduct supervised and observed (same gender) urine drug screens and maintain records.
• Document pass requests, verifications and schedules in the case management software (SRS).
• Notify participants of approval/denial and provide exact times and instructions.
• Investigate verifications and violations, and forward to the case manager for action.
• Testify in court regarding participant violations and drug screens when required.
• Coordinate daily job search support and ensure timely processing of requests.
