Job summary

Allen County Community Corrections seeks a Residential Services Officer to maintain security, supervise residents, and enforce program rules within the ACCC Residential Services Facility. The role involves monitoring compliance, documenting activities, and assisting in safety and sanitation procedures.

Candidates should have a background in law enforcement or criminal justice, with a high school diploma and potential certification in MI, CIT, and related trainings.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a law enforcement/criminal justice environment with focus on community-based supervision preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates in criminal justice preferred.
• Ability to obtain required certifications (MI Internal Certification, CIT) within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior security of the facility, monitor surveillance cameras and door controls.
• Conduct patrols and searches of dormitories, and supervise participant conduct.
• Ensure participant compliance with treatment plans and document appropriately.
• Assist in safety drills and ensure adherence to food, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Attend meetings and training sessions; document activities in logs and databases.
