Main Event is seeking a Party Host in New York to be the life of the party, creating unforgettable birthday memories and guiding guests through scheduled activities with energy and care.

You'll welcome arriving parties, engage with guests, monitor events, handle payments, set up and clean, and uphold strict safety and sanitation standards—ensuring every birthday is memorable and worry-free for parents.

Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage or party hosting is a plus but not required.
• Guest-focused mindset.
• Teamwork is essential.

• Effective communication with management, team, and guests.
• Availability to work days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage arriving parties as their Host throughout the event.
• Interact with guests to create memorable birthday experiences.
• Monitor events, anticipate party needs, and assist the party planner.
• Gather and store birthday gifts and cake when applicable.
• Process payment transactions and welcome guests back.
• Set up, break down, and clean before/after each party.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

At Main Event, our Party Hosts are the life of the party and create unforgettable birthday memories! As a Party Host, you are enthusiastic and relentless in creating FUN birthday celebrations, all while having a little fun yourself! You know the details of the event inside and out and can manage the scheduled birthday activities, so our birthday parents don't have to! You're also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAILY?

• Welcome and engage with arriving birthday parties and serving as their Host throughout their scheduled activities (let's get this party started!)
• Creating memorable experiences by interacting and engaging with the party Guests throughout the birthday event
• Ensuring memorable birthday experiences by monitoring events, anticipating party needs, and aiding the party parent/party planner
• Gathering and storing birthday gifts and cake (if applicable)
• Processing payment transactions and welcoming our Guests back
• Setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after each party event
• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Prior food and beverage or Party Host experience is a plus but not required
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Attention to detail and strong multi-tasking skills
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to workdays, nights and/or weekends
