Position Title: Birthday Party Host - Family Entertainment Center

Location: Union Social

PAY RATE: $13/HR

Job Overview:

As a Birthday Party Host at our center, you will play a vital role in creating unforgettable and joyful experiences for guests celebrating their special occasions. Your energy, enthusiasm, and exceptional customer service skills will ensure that birthday parties and events run smoothly, leaving guests with cherished memories. This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications required for the position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Event Execution:
    - Oversee and execute birthday parties, ensuring all details are well-organized and executed.
    - Interact with customers on site to understand their preferences, expectations, and requirements.
  2. Guest Interaction:
    - Welcome and engage party guests with warmth and enthusiasm.
    - Foster a positive and festive atmosphere throughout the event.
  3. Activities and Games:
    - Lead and facilitate entertainment activities, games, and attractions for party guests.
    - Ensure that all participants are engaged and having a great time through ‘check ins’ at the start, middle and end of the event.
  4. Food and Beverage Service:
    - Assist in serving food, drinks, and birthday cake to party attendees.
    - Ensure timely and efficient delivery of food and refreshments.
  5. Gift Management:
    - Help organize and manage gifts, ensuring they are placed in a designated area for the guest of honor.
    - Coordinate the safekeeping of gifts during the event.
  6. Safety and Supervision:
    - Ensure the safety of all party attendees during activities and games.
    - Follow safety protocols and address any concerns promptly.
  7. Problem Resolution:
    - Handle any issues or concerns raised by party guests, parents, or organizers in a professional and effective manner.
    - Collaborate with management to resolve any challenges that may arise.
  8. Celebration Planning:
    - Assist in planning and preparing party decorations, props, and themed elements if needed.
    - Contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall party experience.
  9. Customer Service:
    - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, requests, and needs.
    - Go the extra mile to exceed guest expectations and ensure a memorable celebration.
  10. Clean-Up:
    - Assist in cleaning and resetting the party area after the event.
    - Ensure the space is tidy and ready for the next party.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience as a party host, event coordinator, or in a customer-facing role, preferably in the hospitality, entertainment, or service industry is welcome but not necessary.
  2. Enthusiastic and energetic personality with a passion for creating joyful experiences.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with guests of all ages.
  4. Ability to lead and facilitate activities and games with enthusiasm and confidence.
  5. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple aspects of events simultaneously.
  6. Problem-solving skills to address unexpected situations and ensure smooth event execution.
  7. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the family entertainment center.
  8. Creative mindset to contribute ideas for parties and activities.
