Job summary

American Dream is seeking a Party Host to create a fun family entertainment experience and provide outstanding guest service. You will be the sole contact on event day for booked parties, greet guests, enforce park rules, and manage setup, service, and teardown.

The role requires an energetic, professional demeanor, excellent listening skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with Dream Makers and other departments. Local transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• On event day, be the sole contact for booking parents and party guests
• Greet party guests and attendees professionally and enthusiastically
• Maintain order to prevent congestion in the party waiting area
• Explain party rules and park policies to guests
• Set up, clean up, and maintain party tables and surrounding areas
• Ensure space, seating, and decor for all guests; assist with food and beverages
• Ensure each party receives included items and special requests
• Monitor and remove trash; keep chairs and tablecloths tidy
• Ensure gifts are collected or stored securely by parents
• Maintain punctual attendance and perform additional duties as assigned

Job description

The Party Host is instrumental in creating an innovative and fun family entertainment experience utilizing specialized skills and abilities. Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times. Ensure a positive guest experience with our guests and all Dream Makers while following all company policies and procedures

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• On the event day, the sole point of contact for booking parent and respective party guests.
• Enthusiastically and professionally greet party guest and attendees.
• Maintain ordert to avoid customer congestion in the party waiting area.
• Explain all the needed rules and policies for the party.
  • Party Planners to provide rules and regulations for the park.
  • Ex. No running, foul language, cutting lines, loose articles on rides (flip flops, phones, etc) The chaperone is required to stay with any guests under the age of 16 years old.
• Responsible for setting up, cleaning up, and maintaining party tables and surrounding areas and setting up for the next party.
  • Ensure there is adequate space/seating for all party guests.
  • Responsible for picking up, setting up, and serving all food and beverages.
  • Ensure each party receives everything included in the package or any special requests.
  • Provide an exceptional birthday experience to birthday guests of honor and all parents and guests.
  • Restock and organize beverages, party supplies, and decor needed.
  • Make certain to monitor, clean, and remove all trash and debris from the party on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all chairs, tables, and tableclothes are evenly aligned and tidy in area and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure all party gifts and belongings have been taken by party parents. Otherwise, contact the parent and place belongings in the Birthday Party Office (Ensure this has been communicated).
• Regular, reliable, and consistent punctual attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Good listening skills when dealing with guests, coworkers and supervisors

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
• An outgoing and energetic person that will entertain in a family party environment
• Prior experience as in a service position preferred, but not required
